The Check List
- Shampoo your pets with the Pet Scents Herbal Flea Shampoo for natural flea & tick control. Before you wet down your pet, here's a tip. Place shampoo around its neck fairly heavily, because when you wet down your pet the fleas will head for higher ground (your pet's head) and this will stop them in their tracks! Then make sure you shampoo around their ears, neck and their stomach. Leave on for at least 5 minutes then rinse. If the flea infestation is very bad then repeat this process.
- Wash your pets bedding in hot water. If animals sleep with a family member, all bedding must be washed.
- In addition, cleaning carpets with a steam only cleaner (no chemicals) should kill some of the larval fleas, and also remove the bits of organic matter that accumulate in carpets that the larvae feed on.
- Start adding Flea Free Food Supplement for natural flea and tick control to your pet's food or water to aid in prevention.
- Vacuum your house including furniture, closets, baseboards, and steps. (Throw Bag Away Outside). Sweep any hard surface floors.
- Sprinkle the Boric Acid Carpet Treatment for natural flea control and prevention in your home according to directions under cushions, under furniture, on the carpet and on porches, and garages. Broom powder into the carpet and don't vacuum for at least three days to prevent flea infestation.
- Spray the yard with Garl-Or3 Yard & Garden Flea Spray for natural flea control & prevention in your garden according to directions.
