Pet Adoption:

Every year in America over 5 million animals are killed in shelters because they can find no home. Some are killed with an injection of Ethanol, which is at least quick. But many are killed in gas chambers, I know, shocking isn't it. It takes up to 30 minutes for the animals to die in excruciating pain and agony. So instead of buying a dog, please adopt instead and save a life. You will never regret it.

Myths About Shelter/Rescue Animals:

• 1 - There are no purebred animals in shelters.
  This is not true - over 30% of all dogs in shelters are purebreds, so why pay thousands of dollars when you can adopt for around $100!


• 2 - Shelter pets all have major issues.
  Again, not accurate - The main reasons animals get dropped at shelters are: their owners died, their owners moved to a place where animals are not allowed, or they were babies of an unspayed mother


• 3 - You never know what you are going to get with a shelter animal.
  This one is surprising - You will get an animal that is so grateful that you will receive a lifetime of affection in return. You also 'get' to save a life. Many shelter animals are killed (euthanized) if they are not adopted quickly, so you know exactly what you are going to get! There is even a popular T-Shirt that talks about this one, it says "A Dog Rescued ME"
